Texas Expanded Standard Possession Order Calendar 2025

The Standard Possession Order (SPO) Calendar below shows the schedule without elections.

  • An SPO for the noncustodial parent without elections includes the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekends of every month.
  • Possession lasts from 6 PM on Friday to Sunday at 6 PM with two hours on Thursdays during the school year.

An Expanded Standard Possession Order (ESPO) that includes elections for the noncustodial parent:

  • ESPO includes the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekends of every month.
  • Possession lasts from Friday at school dismissal to Monday when school resumes with Thursday overnights during the school year.

Under both schedules:

  • The father gets Father’s Day Weekend while the mother gets Mother’s Day Weekend.
  • Parents alternate Spring Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

REMEMBER:  The 5th Weekend visitation is always followed by the 1st Weekend for the noncustodial parent.
